The power of story in the scarfs contribute to the value of acquisition, absolutely beautiful! I drew inspiration from the Mayan culture and incorporated typical fashion and geometric patterns into this design. A truly unique and vibrant tapestry of materials and languages as I used painting and technology to come up with this scarf. The details of the mother's penacho made of green quetzal feathers and the child's wild flowers are quite lovely and I can only imagine how stunning the final product must look on a wall or on you.
The Mayans were a fascinating civilization with a rich cultural heritage. They were known for their advanced knowledge of astronomy and mathematics, as well as their unique style of art and architecture. The Penacho, or headdress, mentioned was a significant part of Mayan culture and was worn by priests and other important figures in the society. The feathers of the quetzal bird were highly valued and seen as a symbol of wealth and prestige.

The intricate design of the Penacho often included feathers from a variety of birds, including macaws and hummingbirds, as well as precious stones and other materials. It was not only a symbol of status, but also a way to communicate with the gods and harness their power. The Penacho has remained a prominent part of Mayan culture and is still worn in certain ceremonial contexts today.. why not wear it yourself!Fluid and beautiful draped scarves are the perfect way to dress up any outfit and wear art where you go.
